Join us as Meet Market Adventures for a thrill-seeking, unforgettable experience at Arbraska Treetop Trekking in Rigaud, west of Hudson.
Three hours of obstacle courses in a magnificent forest, less than 1 hour from Montreal. Develop such skills as mastery of self, heights, confidence, balance, and concentration. Challenge your limits in complete safety, with orientation from trained guides. All levels available from beginner to advanced, and there is no time limit to complete each course.
Travel between the trees at the top of the forest with the help of rope bridges, ladders, zip lines, climbing nets, foot bridges, swings, giant steps, Tarzan cords, many more games and plenty of exhilarating laughter along the way !
Equipped with a harness and helmet, you will evolve through different levels of courses, which are adapted to one's age and strength in complete security. Your adventure will start with an obligatory initiation given by trained guides who will explain how to use your cords, carabineers and pulley, as well as how to follow the rules of safety. This equipment will be connected along your stroll to a cable ensuring your safety. Come out and enjoy a delightful afternoon escape with MMA. This trekking adventure includes the ultimate thrill of soaring down the giant zip lines !
We recommend that members have a healthy breakfast / lunch and bring snacks. We're going to have an excellent workout. Please keep in mind that this event can be done by an average person and if you feel too tired at any point, you can always step down, end the adventure, go for a nice walk in the beautiful natural surroundings of the Arbraska park.
What to wear and bring on this adventure:
- Dress for the weather as this is a rain or shine event (we will re-schedule the event if there is any danger to the safety of our members)
- Wear loose comfortable clothing, long pants, jeans or bermuda shorts, running shoes or hiking boots
- Please attach long hair and avoid wearing long earrings
- Bring water, gloves (they could also be purchased for $2 on site), sunscreen, insect repellent and your camera!
Please note: To avoid downtown traffic, we will be leaving from the Metro De La Savane (there is a lot of free parking nearby) at 11 AM. We will also pick up members at the YMCA, Pointe-Claire, West Island around 11:30 AM. On the way back, we plan on being in West Island at 7:30 PM and back at Metro De La Savane at 8:00 PM.
The price includes : transportation*, the admission to Arbraska Treetop Trekking, a 10-15 minute stretching warm-up, a 30 minute orientation by a trained guide, about 3 hours of tree trekking, lots of water / soft drinks, unlimited marshmallows and of course, great fun and laughter with new friends !
* We are carpooling. Please let us know if you need a ride or can offer a ride to another member. We will compensate drivers for the gas. Please note that we may change it to bus transportation. In such a case, we will notify members several days in advance.
Note: please bring your own food for picnic after the Treetop / Zipline adventure. Certain items could also be purchased at the centre (hamburgers, sandwiches, beer, etc). Prices are reasonable.
